The referee ignored XV de Piracicaba's protests and gave Hernani Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. XV de Piracicaba made a substitution. Gonçalo Brasil replaced Toninho Galvão. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Patrick Leite with Valdir Marquez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
