The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wit Lampa went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yavuz Bülent Akbatu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Kostas Kelaidoniss short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Casper Claes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 16th minute of play forced Navigators's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Akbatu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Ke Hui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Navigators booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Clocheret didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hüsmen Bozbey during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Navigators getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Hüsmen Bozbey hit a great ball. Zeynel Üke kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 33rd minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wit Lampa. Mustafa Oğuz Sıratullah kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 46th minute of play. The Navigators players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Belgium were winning 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Navigators's Kostas Kelaidonis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Navigators made a substitution. Derviş Erva replaced Zeynel Üke. Özbek Tokur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Malik in the 62nd minute of play. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yu Ke Hui, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Navigators were awarded a corner. Hakan Işık went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Derviş Erva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 70 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hakan Işık who took care of the corner kick. Wit Lampa was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 73 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Malik came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Malik's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Malik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 77 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Dervaux in the 83rd minute. With a little luck, Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu got control of the ball when Edward Vanderstraeten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Belgium's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
