The U21 Poland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanek Wojtyna should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Gilchrist. Santa Tecla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Witold Bycofski went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. U21 Andorra's Santa Tecla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witold Bycofski in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Deon Furlong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Pająk in the 31st minute of play forced U21 Andorra's goalkeeper Santa Tecla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien Fowler in the 36th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Damien Fowler took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Tanek Wojtyna to make any attempt to save it. Deon Furlong charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deon Furlong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan Pająk made a kick off. Santa Tecla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Pająk in the 52nd minute of play. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Fowler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Poland's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led U21 Andorra's Russ Griggs to fire away a dangerous shot which Tanek Wojtyna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Santa Tecla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Pająk in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Witold Bycofski took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Santa Tecla to make any attempt to save it. U21 Poland made a substitution. Roman Fujarczuk replaced Karol Andrzejewski. U21 Poland's Federico Chiesa was substituted for Stanislaw Maziarski. Tanek Wojtyna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Gilchrist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santa Tecla came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Poland's Er Håland. But to his dismay, Er Håland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. If Er Håland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute of the match, Jan Pająk got a very nice opportunity to score, but Santa Tecla was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A hard shot 85 in the game by Jan Pająk from a close distance when the talented Santa Tecla managed to make a qualified save. U21 Andorra's players were relieved. U21 Andorra's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Er Håland scored to the left of an out of position Santa Tecla, making the score, 2-4. Tanek Wojtyna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damien Fowler in the 93rd minute of the match. The U21 Poland supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U21 Poland would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
