Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Giuseppe Catarinense kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Gentil Macieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 29th minute. Giuseppe Catarinenses short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 32nd minute of play forced AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Gentil Macieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in AD Pontassolense's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gentil Macieira came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Macieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Januário Domingos sent off a good shot on target. AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 44th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Nuno Madruga sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Januário Domingos to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Januário Domingos in the 52nd minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Januário Domingos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos in 52 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Arnout Reekers guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gentil Macieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gentil Macieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gentil Macieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Catarinense in the 67th minute of play. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by AD Pontassolense's Januário Domingos. But to his dismay, Januário Domingos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Gentil Macieira made a huge save. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gentil Macieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 81st minute of play. Giuseppe Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AD Pontassolense fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
