Northland Vikings's Benne Benneborg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Northland Vikings's Jorge Azenha got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Benne Benneborg. Northland Vikings's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 14th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benne Benneborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina scored 0-2 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benne Benneborg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ralf Allgöwer hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Waller, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Ture Waller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ture Waller in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Ture Waller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Vittori was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 41st minute, Ture Waller made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zaccheo Andolina made a kick off. Nicklas Lindström made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ture Waller in the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Northland Vikings's goalkeeper Benne Benneborg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 71st minute of play forced Northland Vikings's goalkeeper Benne Benneborg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benne Benneborg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Northland Vikings getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Philip Brun hit a great ball. Northland Vikings made a substitution. Andreas Falk replaced Mel Speerschneider. Benne Benneborg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guiscardo Davide in the 95th minute. The Northland Vikings supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Italy's performance. The match ended with a win for Italy.
