The supporters of Netherlands booed when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudiu Volosin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ioan Papadima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ioan Papadima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Şiman in the 16th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Maxim in the 19th minute of play. Pavel Tăutu charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pavel Tăutu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 22nd minute, Pavel Tăutu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd minute of play forced GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Papadima. Ioan Papadima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Ioan Papadima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ioan Papadima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 35th minute of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Răzvan Gugulanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 36th minute of play forced GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalkeeper Ioan Papadima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Pavel Tăutu got a free kick in the 38th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 43 minutes, Mathijn Doctor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the GoooooooooooooooooooooooL players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Petre Pășcuțoiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Petre Pășcuțoiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Ioan Papadima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 54th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ioan Papadima. Ioan Papadima dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ioan Papadima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paul Beniuc kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristinel Patriciu during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Netherlands booed when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Patriciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Ioan Papadima to make any attempt to save it. 77 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Ioan Papadima. Ioan Papadima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ioan Papadima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ioan Papadima quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Wim Wilmes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Ioan Papadima when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Ioan Papadima got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emil Şiman during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 86th minute after GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ioan Papadima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
