Staffan Joensson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Joensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Baxters Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Tuste to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Staffan Joensson skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 24th minute of play forced Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Staffan Joensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Andreasson in the 27th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Gulliksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 36th minute. Staffan Joensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Staffan Joensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Netherlands's Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Baxters Boys's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Baxters Boys booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotirios Papagiannopoulos hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Skarkman in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. Baxters Boys made a substitution. Carl Thorsberg replaced Bertil Andreasson. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a free kick in the 66th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabricio Tuste during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabricio Tuste kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Enrique Tavares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 80 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's goalkeeper Staffan Joensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Staffan Joensson was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Lars Meesters capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lars Meesters really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 86th minute, Lars Meesters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Staffan Joensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Enrique Tavares scored 2-4 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Baxters Boys.
