With his leg Telmo Trigo managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Granadero10's Betão Senna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Telmo Trigo had great luck who in the 16thth minute grab hold of the ball when Leonel Vasconcelos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Sydney Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Fantini in the 18th minute of play. Telmo Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the game, Denílson Leite was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.A. Francana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Granadero10 the free kick. Denílson Leite hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

51 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Vasconcelos came free, but Telmo Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Betão Senna in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Trigo saved A.A. Francana from getting behind. In the 54thth minute of the game Betão Senna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.A. Francana's Telmo Trigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Carvalho came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Edvaldo Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonel Vasconcelos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo Trigo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Edvaldo Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Granadero10's Sydney Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kiko Santos in the 72nd minute of play. Telmo Trigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Franklin Falcão struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Telmo Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Granadero10. In the 95th minute, Leonel Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
