Germano Brasil was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Mauro Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Neto Chevillot got free with Mauro Catarinense in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's Tião da Mata got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Vinícius Fernandes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Germano Brasil. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Mauro Catarinense when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. When Guto Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's protests and gave Guto Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. Guto Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claus Catarinense to make the kick off. 65 minutes into the match, Clube Atl. Taquaritinga's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Catarinense came free, but Germano Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Manuel Souto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Germano Brasil. FSCMZ's Geovânio Soeiro got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 84 played minutes Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Veloso.
