But to his dismay, Anthon Eliasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 16th minute Fredrik Isak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Fredrik Isak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Åke Fors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Abraão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Degerfors IF were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Dinamo Colorado's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fredrik Isak took the corner. Wellington Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Fors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the match, Åke Fors had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wellington Abraão. Dinamo Colorado's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Åke Fors was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Wellington Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Fors in the 29th minute of play. Sebastian Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Dinamo Colorado were awarded a corner. Maurinho Vargas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Maurinho Vargas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Degerfors IF's Sebastian Sandberg did a great save. Fredrik Isak kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Zé Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sandberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesinha Meirelles. After having played for 39 minutes, Anthon Eliasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anthon Eliasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wellington Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zygmunt Filanowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After the first half Degerfors IF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some careless play in the Dinamo Colorado defense, Zygmunt Filanowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Abraão. The Dinamo Colorado fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Abraão should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Degerfors IF booed when Dinamo Colorado was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Isak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Wellington Abraão made a huge save. Degerfors IF's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesinha Meirelles in the 68th minute of play. Wellington Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthon Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 89th minute, Rafael Borre left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dinamo Colorado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 92 minutes, Leonard Christoffersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Degerfors IF and the Dinamo Colorado players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Degerfors IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
