An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Fors in the 11th minute of play forced Dragons EC's goalkeeper Telmo Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Åke Fors cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Telmo Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 17 minutes of play, Degerfors IF's Åke Fors made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Telmo Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the game, Åke Fors cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Telmo Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Åke Fors blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Veloso having to make a save. Telmo Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Fors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Telmo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Fors in the 32nd minute of play. Åke Fors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Telmo Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Fors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anthon Eliasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Telmo Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46thth minute of the game Anthon Eliasson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragons EC's Telmo Veloso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 47th minute Åke Fors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Telmo Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Fors couldn't finish the play. Caco Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Caco Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Dragons EC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Caco Silva hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Anthon Eliasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Telmo Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Billy Pihlberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Veloso having to make a save. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragons EC's goalkeeper Telmo Veloso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Caco Silva was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played.
