Raido Pulver started the match with the kick off. Haşim Batüralp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 5th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 7th minute of play forced Kings's goalkeeper Haşim Batüralp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Kings's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The audience was convinced that Zaccheo Andolina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haşim Batüralp was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Haşim Batüralp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raido Pulver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deodato Magliozzi got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Sigfrido Auletta. Kings's Haşim Batüralp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 30th minute of play. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raido Pulver in the 32nd minute of play. Raido Pulver spun around in front of the goal 32 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Italy's goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zaccheo Andolina in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haşim Batüralp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Kings's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Haşim Batüralp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sostene Vitulli hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Italy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Kings made a substitution. Luís Figo replaced Rocco Ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Eliseo Cutri in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Kings's Edgaras Jankauskas. Eliseo Cutri made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Kings's Håkon Bjernemose. With a little luck, Kings's Haşim Batüralp got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raido Pulver blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Vittori having to make a save. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. If Luís Figo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Kings fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
