Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Viriato Moura got the match started through his kick off. Oscar Nordmark received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the game, Fabricio Andrade threw the ball into play from the sideline. New England Minas's Alperen Öksüz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 8th minute, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Glen Conklin managed to get in a good position for a shot. New England Minas's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Conklin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremy Nicholas having to make a save. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Silva came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Caetano Moreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremy Nicholas having to make a save. 29 minutes into the match, Edgardo Silva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgardo Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Edgardo Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 40th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Jörgen Frohm almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim did a great save. Edgardo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Rodolfo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felipe Barreto charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Barreto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Portugal! Wilson Amorim had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Edgardo Silva's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Edgardo Silva made the kick off in the second half. Jeremy Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Edgardo Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. New England Minas made a substitution. Emmitt Benson replaced Alperen Öksüz. New England Minas's Tio Lio was substituted for Edgardo Silva. 63 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeremy Nicholas made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Caetano Moreira sent off a good shot on target. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 65th minute of the match. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after New England Minas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Pimentel took the corner. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Fabricio Andrade got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Tio Lio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Felipinho Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Nicholas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipinho Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipinho Amorim got free with Jeremy Nicholas in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 84th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Tio Lio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 88th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. New England Minas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Pimentel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Portugal's Daniel Pimentel to fire away a dangerous shot which Jeremy Nicholas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by New England Minas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Pimentel was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. There was no doubt that New England Minas were the better team. New England Minas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
