Deportivo Balvanera's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 26 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Erroman came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Deportivo Balvanera's Till Slesinski got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simon Sabbe made in the 30th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Lenny Clocheret. In the 31st minute Yves Dervaux shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Lauren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lenny Clocheret fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Omar Lauren made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Deportivo Balvanera's Omar Lauren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Balvanera from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaias Erroman in the 60th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Renato Portalupi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Renato Portalupi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Balvanera's Jaroslaw Kaczorowski was substituted for Renato Portalupi. Belgium's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
