Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Montez having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Di Marzio in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubinho Novaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 19th match minute, Hala Madrid Iraki FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Di Marzio to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubinho Novaes in the 28th minute. At last the ball reached Lennart Hellström at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of Netherlands. 1-0. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Hala Madrid Iraki FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Danielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Kuipers's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Kuipers helped the player get up and apologised. Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genílson Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Hala Madrid Iraki FC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Ruben Montez made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruben Montez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Ciro Di Marzio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Hala Madrid Iraki FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
