Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Zheng Di Xi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 11th minute of play forced MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Zheng Di Xi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Zheng Di Xi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the MDS Soccer Club defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zheng Di Xi. The MDS Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zheng Di Xi should have stopped the shot. A collision led to MDS Soccer Club getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Erivaldo Severo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zheng Di Xi was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Zheng Di Xi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Eikelkamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zheng Di Xi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovanni de Sousa's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, MDS Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni de Sousa to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Severo came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lukasz Gmoch made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Di Xi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Di Xi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 53 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Maria Mineiro in the 56th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Zheng Di Xi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Zheng Di Xi in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zheng Di Xi came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. 69 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Severo notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zheng Di Xi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 73rd minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zheng Di Xi having to make a save. Zheng Di Xi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Zheng Di Xi however easily saved by the left post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zheng Di Xi could save by the left post. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Severo notched a goal, 3-7, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 92 minutes into the game, MDS Soccer Club's Lukasz Gmoch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-7. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Zheng Di Xi made a huge save. Netherlands played a much better game than MDS Soccer Club and deserved their victory. The MDS Soccer Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
