Mariano Orti's late challenge caught a France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Orti helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CERPA getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mariano Orti hit a great ball. David Barbier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmacio Mero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over France could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CERPA throughout the match.
