The supporters of Germany booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Kalnik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Holweck in the 19th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Olaf Geiger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Schiele didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zlatko Ibrahimović to make the kick off. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1.
