Ermengol Baena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Quirce Lamas sent off a good shot on target. After 12 played minutes Quirce Lamas rounded Portugal's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quirce Lamas in the 17th minute of the match. Quirce Lamas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quirce Lamas, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Ermengol Baena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 26th minute of play forced ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Ermengol Baena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Caetano Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermengol Baena was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Quirce Lamas was the one to do the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Zenon Larrave in the 53rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. 54 minutes into the game, Felipe Barreto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ermengol Baena. Felipe Barreto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 60th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Felipe Barreto went to the cornerflag to take it. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quirce Lamas in the 63rd minute of play. Ermengol Baena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Ermengol Baena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 70th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Viriato Moura took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Ermengol Baena to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomeu Dias got free with Ermengol Baena in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Quirce Lamas managed to get in a good position for a shot. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s supporters rose to their feet, but Quirce Lamas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A sloppy throw-in by Joaquim Hita in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Fabricio Andrade. Quirce Lamas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. 84 minutes into the game, Quirce Lamas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Quirce Lamas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
