The supporters of Netherlands booed when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Nicodim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of the match. Valer Nuțu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Valer Nuțu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Valer Nuțu. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 23 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Mădălin Nicodim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 played minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Leontin Matei. In the 34th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Wim Wilmes made a precise shot to the right of Valer Nuțu. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valer Nuțu was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Petre Benga got free with Arnout Reekers in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petre Benga made a kick off. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Gagiu in the 52nd minute of play. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Nuțu came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octav Puiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Arjoca in the 63rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Lars Meesters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Petre Benga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valer Nuțu made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Valer Nuțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valer Nuțu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Valer Nuțu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Valer Nuțu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 91st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Valer Nuțu threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Benga in the 95th minute of play. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
