Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micah Macdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Orlando Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Issac Dawson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Anis Achour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. 15 minutes into the match, England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gus Wootton. Issac Dawson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Micah Macdonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Anis Achour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anis Achour showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anis Achour saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. After 33 minutes England's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomás San Juan who took care of the corner kick. Symba's Tomás San Juan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Khalid Kennedy in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 34 minutes into the game, Khaled Chérif cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Khalid Kennedy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Symba's Anis Achour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 37th minute of play. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Micah Macdonald hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Garry Mann put in a rough tackle. 44 minutes into the game, one of Symba:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Anis Achour had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Micah Macdonald's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Micah Macdonald took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anis Achour. Anis Achour dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Symba made a substitution. Sílvio Veiga replaced Khaled Chérif. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Anis Achour came out of the goal and Micah Macdonald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anis Achour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 88th minute of play. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás San Juan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, Symba's goal looked a bit too open when Caelan Hayes came free, but Anis Achour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
