Wiliam Peren made a great header on San Roque FC's corner, it was just that Portugal's Wilson Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Parzysz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 39th minute of play forced San Roque FC's goalkeeper Igor Parzysz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Andrade. Igor Parzysz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 42nd minute of the match. Wiliam Peren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. When Felipe Barreto came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe Barreto couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Igor Parzysz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 51st minute. Hegoi Usabiaga was slow to take the kick. During this time San Roque FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Erik Hökqvist managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 80th minute, Wiliam Peren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. San Roque FC's Gabriel Quintero was substituted for Edgardo Gonzalez. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Portugal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
