Leonides Medardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, San Lorenzo de Mar del's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Leonides Medardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Medardo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
