The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Petru Pamfil's late challenge caught a Rockets's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petru Pamfil helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rockets booed when -BZF- Viitorul Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petru Pamfil didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Gilvan Chaves took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Iustinian Purcărete to make any attempt to save it. Iustinian Purcărete made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbson Messias in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Basarab Dogaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Adolfo Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th match minute, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isac Dichiseanu to maneuver through the defense. João Adolfo Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Dogaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes -BZF- Viitorul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Pârâianu. The crowd rose to their feet as João Pedro de Senna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iustinian Purcărete. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Lucas Guedes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rockets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Viitorul Buzau the free kick. Lucas Guedes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Eduard Angheloiu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. João Adolfo Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Petru Pamfil made a precise shot to the right of João Adolfo Mineiro. Rockets's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After 36 minutes of play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Petru Pamfil made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Adolfo Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Costel Buzgar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rockets the free kick. The supporters of Rockets booed when -BZF- Viitorul Buzau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Buzgar didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half -BZF- Viitorul Buzau were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luca Mureșan made a kick off. João Adolfo Mineiro was a little too slow when Petru Pamfil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 2-4. João Adolfo Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Mureșan in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Isac Dichiseanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rockets's João Adolfo Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Rockets from getting a goal against them. In the 68th match minute, Rockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Vidal to maneuver through the defense. João Pedro de Senna hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Rockets's Róbson Messias got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toninho Terra during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute, Toninho Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the match, Petru Pamfil notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Rockets's João Adolfo Mineiro. João Adolfo Mineiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Petru Pamfil fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. João Adolfo Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petru Pamfil went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-7 was the resulting score. João Adolfo Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Dogaru in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Luca Mureșan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind João Adolfo Mineiro. João Adolfo Mineiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-8. A collision led to -BZF- Viitorul Buzau getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Basarab Dogaru hit a great ball. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
