Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. 9 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Altamirano notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 12 played minutes Vista Alegre FC got a freekick which was hit by Luukas Van de Put. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 14th minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vista Alegre FC's Ronaldo de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 15th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Altamirano in the 18th minute of the match. After 19 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Igor Souza who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Vista Alegre FC's Walmyr Tasso getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Ronaldo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Eikelkamp in the 43rd minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Ronaldo de Moraes made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Belo Ponta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo de Moraes saved Vista Alegre FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Vista Alegre FC's Ronaldo de Moraes got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo Altamirano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 68th minute. Vista Alegre FC's Luisinho Laguna was substituted for Rodrigo Altamirano. In the 70th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's Igor Souza broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ronaldo de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 75th minute of play. Ronaldo de Moraes made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Eikelkamp in the 77th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ronaldo de Moraes made a huge save. After some careless play in the Vista Alegre FC defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronaldo de Moraes. The Vista Alegre FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronaldo de Moraes should have stopped the shot. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Ronaldo de Moraes threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vista Alegre FC made a substitution. Lex Nelis replaced Igor Souza. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 91st minute of play forced Vista Alegre FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo de Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 94 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. In the 95th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ronaldo de Moraes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Netherlands players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vista Alegre FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
