It was a well-played corner which Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. David Eikelkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Wendell Petit got a free kick in the 14th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Seth Luke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gilberto Boone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Wim Wilmes hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Varennes defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilberto Boone. The Varennes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilberto Boone should have stopped the shot. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gilberto Boone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Boone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Boone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 56th minute of the match. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth Luke, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Gilberto Boone however easily saved by the left post. In the 80th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilberto Boone was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilberto Boone saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 90th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
