Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Goudreau was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Maurice Odonnell sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 13th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seth Luke in the 17th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Varennes's Seth Luke made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fodor Daniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Seth Luke in the 23rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Varennes were awarded a corner. Théophile Berger went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Hungary booed when Varennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wendell Petit didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Varennes got a freekick which was hit by Donovan Nash. Varennes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seth Luke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurice Odonnell kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Szekeres Tamas to maneuver through the defense. Seth Luke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 49th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bakos Endre hit a great ball. The supporters of Varennes booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. A very good chance for a goal. When Quincy Loyd fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Varennes's protests and gave Quincy Loyd a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Varennes's Quincy Loyd got a free kick in the 74th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 80th minute of play. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hegedus Henrik got free with Gilberto Boone in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Titus Pineda in the 91st minute of the match. In the 96th minute, one of Hungary:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hungary. Varennes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
