The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leo Allemann's late challenge caught a CD Suscal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 11thth minute of the game Félix Briceño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Switzerland's Hias Nüssli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Félix Briceño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jacinto Maurer scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Holguin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When CD Suscal's Félix Briceño in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. CD Suscal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo von Känel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Switzerland's Levi von Herren managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Xoan Golpe in the 33 minute of the game. 38 minutes into the game, Xoan Golpe threw the ball into play from the sideline. Switzerland's Rodrigo von Känel quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eduardo Holguin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuele Kunz in the 41st minute of play. Ivan Echeto kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Switzerland's Samuele Kunz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Samuele Kunz made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Samuele Kunz fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eduardo Holguin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacinto Maurer in the 58th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Rodrigo von Känel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Switzerland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo von Känel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Echeto's late challenge caught a Switzerland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto Maurer got free with Eduardo Holguin in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to CD Suscal getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ivan Echeto hit a great ball. Xoan Golpe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hias Nüssli having to make a save. Jacinto Maurer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Holguin having to interfere. Samuele Kunz struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Eduardo Holguin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Switzerland. Samuele Kunz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Holguin having to make a save. With a little luck, CD Suscal's Eduardo Holguin got control of the ball when Samuele Kunz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Holguin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuele Kunz, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Félix Briceño kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Switzerland left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CD Suscal.
