Germany's Linus Schwerner was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelino Nueva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svali Bollason in the 10th minute of play. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svali Bollason got free with Tommy Kahn in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hao Feng Yu. After a rather tough play, Reko-Recko 03™'s Mai got a free kick in the 32nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Chris Mergenthaler in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Reko-Recko 03™'s Gerardo Arce. Gerardo Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sven Krakouer hit a great ball. Gerardo Arce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svali Bollason in the 43rd minute of play. Chris Mergenthaler made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Reko-Recko 03™'s Gerardo Arce. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Hao Feng Yu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Hao Feng Yu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Arce in the 58th minute of play. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Hao Feng Yu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reko-Recko 03™ made a substitution. Selman Ruzi replaced Gilmar Prestes. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Arce in the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Xande Cabezudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reko-Recko 03™ fully deserved thier win.
