Tris Ruddock charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tris Ruddock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tris Ruddock kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Gus Weir sent off a good shot on target. Real Chelsea's Tris Ruddock got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Liam Edmunds showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Liam Edmunds made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 24th minute of play. Liam Edmunds took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gus Weir in the 30th minute. After some careless play in the Real Chelsea defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Liam Edmunds. The Real Chelsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Liam Edmunds should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Edmunds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Turk during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Real Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Michael Turk. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Patrick Panther hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Liam Edmunds showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

In the 52nd minute, Lars Meesters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liam Edmunds having to interfere. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Liam Edmunds didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Liam Edmunds could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Real Chelsea's Patrick Panther got a free kick in the 65th minute. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Marty Harland replaced Malcolm Adcock. In the 66th match minute, Real Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Panther to maneuver through the defense. Wim Wilmes might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liam Edmunds. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wim Wilmes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute Gus Weir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Panther was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Real Chelsea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Panther didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Real Chelsea made a substitution. Tyler Tolley replaced Tris Ruddock. In the 80thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Chelsea's Liam Edmunds was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liam Edmunds made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Edmunds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Chelsea's Liam Edmunds played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Edmunds saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Lars Meesters nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A very good chance. Netherlands played a much better game than Real Chelsea and deserved their victory. The Real Chelsea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
