Alvaro Rotili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 5th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Alvaro Rotili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Simon Sabbe in the 7th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by A.S. Udinese's Alessio Zoccali. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yves Dervaux in the 10th minute of play. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 16th minute of play. Alvaro Rotili stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Rotili having to interfere. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Bottone in the 23rd minute of the match. A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 30th minute of play. In the 40th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Pozzoli to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rotili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alvaro Rotili tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 53rd minute, Alexander Bottone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, Alexander Bottone managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Udinese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Bottone was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62ndth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.S. Udinese's Alvaro Rotili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alvaro Rotili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 64th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Rotili having to make a save. Alexander Bottone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Bottone in the 71st minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvaro Rotili. Alvaro Rotili dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Lenny Clocheret got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Alexander Bottone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Alvaro Rotili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Merexildo Oliveras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Nigel Devos hit a great ball. The throw-in from Dino Pozzoli in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgium's Floris Claeys. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
