An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Bastos in the 11th minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xande Xande, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ronald Mc Donald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Henrich Slany made a huge save. Henrich Slany had great luck who in the 15thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ronald Mc Donald from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After a rather tough play, Time Pipoqueiro's Doni Donato got a free kick in the 20th minute. The supporters of Time Pipoqueiro booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Havel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes Time Pipoqueiro got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Cerezo. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Vavrinec Koleno got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Slovakia's Henrich Slany got control of the ball when Ronald Mc Donald tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 played minutes Slovakia got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Holub. In the 38th minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorival Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Douglas Douglas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrich Slany was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Doni Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xande Xande in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrich Slany prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Bastos in the 57th minute of play. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald Mc Donald in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xande Xande in the 63rd minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé do Valle might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé do Valle ran back to his position shaking his head. Ronald Mc Donald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Slovakia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Time Pipoqueiro.
