Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Frank Sachs made the kick off and thus started the match. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Karol Czempa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 9th minute. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Karol Czempa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karol Czempa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 14th minute, Frank Sachs made a precise shot to the right of Martin Tudor. Progresul Pitesti's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Martin Tudor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vasile Blănaru. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa. But to his dismay, Karol Czempa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Vasile Blănaru sent off a good shot on target. Progresul Pitesti's Martin Tudor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Ezkerra Villasana got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Chris Mergenthaler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Progresul Pitesti the free kick. After 46 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Chris Mergenthaler. If Vasile Blănaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vasile Blănaru made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karol Czempa in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Martin Tudor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 61st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janik Vogt to maneuver through the defense. Germany's Albin Holweck pulled a muscle in his leg after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ezkerra Villasana charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezkerra Villasana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ezkerra Villasana hit a great ball. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Ezkerra Villasana with Timmie Deinse as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Martin Tudor in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Progresul Pitesti's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Tudor came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, Progresul Pitesti's Karol Czempa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Rolf Rothberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Rothberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Tudor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Progresul Pitesti walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
