Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edward Vanderstraeten took the kick off in the first half of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sérgio Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Sérgio Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 8th minute of the match. Sérgio Queiroz came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sérgio Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yves Dervaux went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 17 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sérgio Queiroz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. Simon Sabbe was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Belgium booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Pinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Capibaribe Stars's Sérgio Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 30th minute of play. Sérgio Queiroz came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Queiroz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

Capibaribe Stars's Sérgio Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 56th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Yves Dervaux made a precise shot to the right of Sérgio Queiroz. Capibaribe Stars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-11. Sandrinho Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sérgio Queiroz. That made the score 0-12 in the 70 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conrado Berger during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Conrado Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Capibaribe Stars's Sérgio Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Floris Claeys hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Capibaribe Stars's zone, Guillaume Bonte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Queiroz came out of the goal and Guillaume Bonte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edward Vanderstraeten scored 0-14 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sérgio Queiroz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sérgio Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-15. Sérgio Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 94th minute. Capibaribe Stars's Sérgio Queiroz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yves Dervaux in the 96th minute of play. When the match was over Belgium could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Capibaribe Stars throughout the match.
