Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Hungary's Antal Valentin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Birk Rognstad took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fodor Daniel. Hungary's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jon-Inge Kolberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Jon-Inge Kolberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Vörös Henrik was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After 11 minutes of play, Hungary's Major Barna made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon-Inge Kolberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! 14 minutes into the game, Hungary's Takacs Tibor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jon-Inge Kolberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Hungary booed when The Nerd Herd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eivind Engh didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Nerd Herd's Ove Svingen got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 24th minute of play forced The Nerd Herd's goalkeeper Jon-Inge Kolberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Ove Svingen sent off a good shot on target. Ove Svingen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Jon-Inge Kolberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 32nd minute of the match. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after The Nerd Herd's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Jon-Inge Kolberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 37th minute of play. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jon-Inge Kolberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Jon-Inge Kolberg in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Birk Rognstad fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Nerd Herd's protests and gave Birk Rognstad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Birk Rognstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Major Barna scored 0-9 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jon-Inge Kolberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
