Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John-David Lee, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 6th minute of play forced Seclantas AFC's goalkeeper Carlos Balendin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Seclantas AFC's Lorenzo Betadur got a free kick in the 10th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Carlos Balendin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Balendin having to interfere. The supporters of Seclantas AFC booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigvard Termander in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seclantas AFC's Carlos Balendin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 27 played minutes Seclantas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Oliverio. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by He Feng Zhou in the 31st minute of play. Seclantas AFC's Carlos Balendin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 35th minute of play. Carlos Balendin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Balendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eleuterio Matteo to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from He Feng Zhou, who was totally free with the ball in the 50th minute. In the 51st minute, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mathijn Doctor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Netherlands protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mathijn Doctor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 51st minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Seclantas AFC. He Feng Zhou stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnout Reekers. 1-0. 63 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Okan Buruk came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, He Feng Zhou made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 69th minute, John-David Lee left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seclantas AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eleuterio Matteo in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Seclantas AFC's Eleuterio Matteo. But to his dismay, Eleuterio Matteo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. In the 77th minute John-David Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Carlos Balendin in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 87 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Balendin. Gustaaf Groeneveldt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Balendin having to interfere. After 96 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was He Feng Zhou who took care of the corner kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Seclantas AFC.
