Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) YR Mechelen's Paul-Louis Van Mechelen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes, Adolphe De Maerschalckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Denmark made a substitution. Malthe Lassen replaced Bertram Svenningsen. After a defensive mix-up in YR Mechelen's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andries Van Mechelen came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Olav Graversen got a free kick in the 14th minute. Andries Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Diederik Van Mechelen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YR Mechelen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. In the 21st minute, Diederik Van Mechelen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute of the match Chris Nygaard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andries Van Mechelen skillfully saved the ball. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul-Louis Van Mechelen. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in YR Mechelen's zone, Chris Nygaard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andries Van Mechelen came out of the goal and Chris Nygaard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Andries Van Mechelen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Maurice Van Mechelen kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. If Malthe Lassen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Adolphe De Maerschalckx. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. Andries Van Mechelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Van Mechelen to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Denmark's Chris Nygaard tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 61 minutes into the match, YR Mechelen's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Andries Van Mechelen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andries Van Mechelen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chris Nygaard went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andries Van Mechelen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. YR Mechelen's Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got his second yellow card of the match in the 67th minute. The referee ordered Paul-Louis Van Mechelen off the ground. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Paul-Louis Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 67th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Maurice Van Mechelen in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Denmark's Theis Winther. Andries Van Mechelen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Diederik Van Mechelen got a free kick in the 87th minute. With a little luck, YR Mechelen's Andries Van Mechelen got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denmark's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
