In the 4th minute Ubaldo Padro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ellis Schenck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Ubaldo Padro sent off a good shot on target. 21 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Padro came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Ubaldo Padro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ubaldo Padro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ubaldo Padro. In the 44th minute Gianpaolo Mascari suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 44 minutes into the game, Verner Holmstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zlatan BK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italy the free kick. Verner Holmstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Zlatan BK got a freekick which was hit by Per Hägglund. Zlatan BK's Ellis Schenck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Zlatan BK from getting a goal against them. Ubaldo Padro scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Vittori, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zlatan BK's Carl Beck was substituted for Ubaldo Padro. Zlatan BK made a substitution. Steve Steven replaced Uygar Orhan. Zlatan BK's Karl-Oskar Kinnman was substituted for Mariusz Kloczko. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ellis Schenck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. If Siricio Liotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Per Hägglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 77th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ellis Schenck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Oskar Kinnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Steven in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Oskar Kinnman in the 92nd minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
