When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ezequiel Calderón took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Stoyadin Shahov to make any attempt to save it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stoyadin Shahov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes in the game, Karl-Michael Melander dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 97 minutes, Gabriel Maraman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Argentina and the U21 Bulgaria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gabriel Maraman kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
