An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 14th minute of play forced 福建宁德活塞队's goalkeeper 俞森常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Chris Nygaard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 俞森常 was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 19th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 俞森常 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, 俞森常 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Lars Steen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Steen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 俞森常 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 福建宁德活塞队's 俞森常 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 23rd minute of play. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 俞森常. 俞森常 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Denmark's Chris Nygaard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 46th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 俞森常 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes, Denmark's Bjarne Kirkegaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper 俞森常 came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Denmark reached it. There was no doubt that Denmark were the better team. Denmark's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
