Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hansjörg Pothmer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Pihlberg came free, but Mané Viana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cicero Weiß kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Mané Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helge Pihlberg in the 20th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Carlinhos de Brito notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach. After the first half Vorwärts Lübeck were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos de Brito to make the kick off. In the 83rd minute, Glenn Schmermbeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vorwärts Lübeck getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. The referee showed Christian Schulz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Cleytec de Nilópolis RJ. Chico de Brito stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abubakar Noach. 2-2. Helge Pihlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Mané Viana made a huge save. Mané Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Helge Pihlberg's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the game, João Augusto Lopes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Abubakar Noach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Vorwärts Lübeck's Severino Casero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mané Viana. That made the score 3-3 after 98 minutes of play.
