In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Band Of Brothers's goalkeeper Hami Tuna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Erling Bennet sped through Netherlands's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. Hami Tuna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 30th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hami Tuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Carl Caniggia kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Band Of Brothers's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Hami Tuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erling Bennet made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Band Of Brothers's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Hami Tuna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hami Tuna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 58th minute of the match. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Band Of Brothers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. After 60 minutes, Wim Wilmes made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Band Of Brothers's Hami Tuna tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hami Tuna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Anders Holmgren hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Band Of Brothers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. In the 90th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hami Tuna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
