After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Flávio Dionísio managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iuri de Andrade during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iuri de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Emil Seidler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Goiás Esporte Clube the free kick. After 71 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Iuri de Andrade made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Auer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guga Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Nalder, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Sandro Galishoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Paulo José Secco got a free kick in the 86th minute. Austria's Sandro Galishoff couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Dionísio in the 98th minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Fabio Auer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Wallner during the 99th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Austria's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
