Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Wilmes to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Yaji FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yao Guang Chao showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Yaji FC's Arturo Ranolfo in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Yaji FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner led to Netherlands's Lars Meesters getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 15th minute Arturo Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generoso Lucado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yao Guang Chao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of play. Yaji FC's Yao Guang Chao played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Giovani Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Yaji FC's Yao Guang Chao. Yao Guang Chao was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Ranolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute Arturo Ranolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Yaji FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Man Chester was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Kryspin Ziemba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Ziemba in the 57th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Yaji FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Yao Guang Chao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Ranolfo in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Ranolfo in the 64th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yao Guang Chao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yaji FC's Honorato Estebano was substituted for Man Chester. Yao Guang Chao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 77th minute of play. Lars Meesters took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yao Guang Chao. Yao Guang Chao dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kryspin Ziemba in the 86th minute of the match. With a little luck, Yaji FC's Yao Guang Chao got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pascual Pes during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Yaji FC! Generoso Lucado's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Generoso Lucado helped the player get up and apologised. Generoso Lucado kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
