Italy were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Supremacy Catania FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Sigfrido Auletta made a great header on Italy's corner, it was just that Supremacy Catania FC's Fan Xi Hong managed to reach the ball for a save. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. In the 36th minute Cesare Maestri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when İldeniz Turatekin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zaccheo Andolina succeeded in the game's 55th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when İldeniz Turatekin came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İldeniz Turatekin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Supremacy Catania FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Dennis Baggio hit a great ball. Fan Xi Hong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Flavio Vittori didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raimundo Espírito Santo went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Raimundo Espírito Santo might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Vittori. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Espírito Santo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute Raimundo Espírito Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siricio Liotta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fan Xi Hong having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Supremacy Catania FC had won after a very even match.
