In the 44th minute, Edgar Degas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Maxime Durand. The goal made the score 4-0. After having played for 47 minutes, Roland Muusik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS LEW Chorzów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Muusik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Peletier to strike the kick off in the second half. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Campana's shot from short distance in the 50th minute. In the 52nd minute of the match KS LEW Chorzów got a corner. France's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dariusz Misiewicz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in France's zone, Leo Campana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxime Durand came out of the goal and Leo Campana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of KS LEW Chorzów booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camille Baume didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, David Barbier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 68th minute France were awarded a corner. David Barbier went to the cornerflag to take it. 73 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's goalkeeper Herbert Oliszewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camille Baume. In the 74th minute Leo Campana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Edgar Degas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Campana in the 81st minute of play. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Campana, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Frank Peletier struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Herbert Oliszewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for France.
