After having played for 9 minutes, Richmond Van Glabeeke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Puerto de Sagunto CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richmond Van Glabeeke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute Richmond Van Glabeeke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Puerto de Sagunto CF's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Gong Yong Nan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Omar Toledo in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco José Millán in the 19th minute of play. Gong Yong Nan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 21st minute of the match. Francisco José Milláns short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Gabriel Ascaso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gabriel Ascaso had great luck who in the 26thth minute grab hold of the ball when Richmond Van Glabeeke from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Edu Gaspar made a great header on Puerto de Sagunto CF's corner, it was just that Spain's Gabriel Ascaso managed to reach the ball for a save. Gabriel Ascaso made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Francisco José Millán sent off a good shot on target. Gong Yong Nan came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Spain's Adria Bielsa. But to his dismay, Adria Bielsa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco José Millán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Spain were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Puerto de Sagunto CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Toledo took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Vicente Merino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Lawrence Manrique kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Gabriel Ascaso made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Francisco José Millán sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richmond Van Glabeeke was the one to do the kick off. Gong Yong Nan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Puerto de Sagunto CF's goalkeeper Gong Yong Nan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Omar Toledo. After 78 minutes, Santiago Sartori mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spain and the Puerto de Sagunto CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Spain's Sergio Ruiz was substituted for Adria Bielsa. A collision led to Spain getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Santiago Sartori hit a great ball. Sergio Ruiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gong Yong Nan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Ruiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Gong Yong Nan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Ruiz in the 91st minute of the match.
