Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gerd Müller kicked off to start the match. 9 minutes into the match, Chicão Amorim notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chicão Amorim in the 19th minute of play. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Gerd Müller sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerd Müller in the 26th minute. Gerd Müller succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 26th playminute. Benjamim Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 33rd minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Naldo Rossi in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Graciano Coutinho. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Naldo Rossi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Benjamim Dante in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute Pedro Luiz Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Ferreira in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Estrela Solitária's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Benjamim Dante made a huge save. Benjamim Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The supporters of Portugal booed when Estrela Solitária was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naldo Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamim Dante was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamim Dante stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bartolomeu Dias's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Meira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamim Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Felipinho Amorim's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benjamim Dante firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Benjamim Dante managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice moves Felipinho Amorim could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Benjamim Dante however easily saved by the left post. In the 95th minute, Felipinho Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamim Dante was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2.
