Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melchor Tome to make the kick off. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melchor Tome was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Tome scored 2-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Deportivo Kadorna walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
