Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jess Johnson. Colosos Afc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jess Johnson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Gaufred, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute Luis Gaufred shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Iaki kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Ruperto Taurino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Netherlands were furious when Mathijn Doctor was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Modesto Sugar didn't quite understand what happened when in the 48 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a kick off. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Colosos Afc got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Natanael. After having played for 55 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Gaufred in the 56th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 60th minute of play forced Colosos Afc's goalkeeper Jess Johnson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jess Johnson having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Tomas Iaki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colosos Afc and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th minute, one of Colosos Afc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Colosos Afc. The goalkeeper, Jess Johnson, was totally fooled by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who 67 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jess Johnson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 70 minute of play. In the 73rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Johnson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
